A lot of us think that people lie in small or big ways on social media is by hiding the bad, or air brushing the imperfect. But really, i think that a more insidious and even more common form of lying is by making your life less than it is for fear of intimidating people. It's being dishonest about who you really are and the reality of your life in order to control people's opinion about you. Let us stop lying. Be yourself and let other people have whatever thoughts they want about you. If someone else's own story of their own smallness rubs up against them and they're having a reaction, that is not your growth to tend to. It's theirs
