The Axioms of Humanity
Everything happens for a reason. The idea here being that nothing can not abide by nature's laws and principles. If many individual things or people work together to produce a single effect, they're all one thing. So axiom number one, humanities essence doesn't require any one person's existence. People will die and then people will be born. Not every human will exist. Humans think the third axiom, a mode of thinking like love or desire depend on the idea of a thing that is loved or desired without having another mode of thought. We'll talk more about this later in the book.
