The EU has introduced a new regulation on deforestation-free supply chains. Companies will have to provide precise geo-located coordinates of where the commodities were produced. Traceability levels for palm oil might be a little bit higher than for beef or for cocoa. The longer the root that that palm fruit takes to the product you're depending on, the harder it's going to be to prove you're not linked to deforestation.
