The Illusion of Self
There are two kinds of ignorance. There's the ignorance of non-practice and the ignorance of delusion. When we're not mindful, we don't see that everything is in a process of continual change. And so ignorance then gives rise to the illusion of woman or man or person... It gives rise to concept, to concept of self. We don't see the momentariness of phenomena. But what we are is this process of consciousness and object, knowing an object, arising and vanishing 17 trillion times a moment.
