Video Games - A Different Industry Than Computers?

i actually did jump into technology, but not in the way you'd think. i would have never, when i graduated working for that video game company, ever thought i'd be making soft ware for a living. I'm certain if we went back to that time frame and saw, like, for a computer period, how many applications were there? Maybe a few thousand. So, yes, but i defly do only see it differently. And get my bee from my generation or when i grow up, but i see video games is something very different than computing.
