Emily Vandervar wrote a great piece last month called The Rise of Succession TV's You Must Watch Show. She was trying to grapple with why succession has been such a hit. And she drills down on this notion that it's not just a show about like, you know, rich people behaving badly and corporate greed or whatever it is. It's about denial of abuse. Like these, these four children have been abused and warped by their father.
