The Book of Isaiah, Chapter 66
In isaiah, chapter 66, the final chapter of the book, there are several reminders of where the book first began. Both chapters one and 66 begin with a reference to the heavens and the earth. Chapter 66 also continues from chapter 65, the lord's response to the community lament of the people and prophet. The uniqueness of the lord, his sovereignty over all earthly powers and his transcendence as the eternal creator and god of all is a pervasive and dominant theme.
