The Oxford Group and the Emergence of Animal Rights

Yawanda Oculea: I didn't realize how large the group was and how many influential members it had or how many people in the group at the time you maybe didn't thank yourselves as the Oxford vegetarians but nevertheless a number of people went off to contribute. Richard Ryder was a clinical psychologist for example and Rosalind Godlovich who in a way perhaps had the biggest influence on me apart from Richard Keshen. And there were some experiments that were protested about quite recently within the last year or so that were part of that same vein of research. It's interesting that it has now been recognized in this way as an important group of people.
