The Biosphere 2 Project Taps Into a Current Around the World
The Biosphere 2 project received primarily positive media coverage in most of the major outlets. The complex itself is a sprawling glass structure that includes a stepped pyramid attached to a series of barrel-vaulted buildings. It's an architectural feat, and as it was being built in the 1980s, it looked like the future had landed in the middle of the Arizona desert. But all of that would change shortly before the eight Biospherians were locked inside the glass structure for 730 days.
