Is This a Murder Trial?

In may of 19 69, barbara murdered her adopted mother, jane. She was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison for murder in the first degree. Barbara maintained her innocence throughout the trial,. claiming the confession was given under false pretences. Though she grew up an orphan, she was adopted by a wealthy family three months later. The prosecution's case was mostly built onBarbara's confession which told the following story. During the investigation, police found blood on barbara's riding boots and gunpowder residue on her hands. Also, barbara had no defensible alibi.
