I would also advise people to have one on one conversations because maybe sometimes there are some dynamics between them that in a group exercise can present them from being completely open or I don't know avoid saying some things complaining and so on. It's less time less stress less organization preparation such a run but you still have all the same questions asked and see if there is answers to them. If we don't put this in the first meeting upfront if we don't agree on something like what is this perfect project looks to you to me to all of us then at the end it's like everybody would change their expectation if you don't have is documented then they would come up with the new idea new feature
