Sassir: We should consider language always within a situated context. A ship at sea is always driven by forces that are not complete subject to its control. So this is very critical of what he calls an engineer's viewpoint. He says, this view is there a partial and is likely to engender untenable obstructions. And so ultimately I would basically invite us, you know, readers of the fear and of derida in 2020 to read sassir’s writings on linguistics.
