I have very little issue with policies that I vehemently disagree with being enacted in places where the consequences of it will be felt by the people who are supporting that policy. But you need to allow, you need to give people the room to explore and learn from their mistakes. And we've created a system that allows everything to live in the hypothetical, except for the things that are already dysfunctional,. In which case it's just a rhetorical game of blame casting. Nobody ultimately has to take a hard stance.
