The Evolution of Capitalism

I avoid the word capitalism because I think it's a boo word invented by the enemies of enterprise and commerce. The invention of trade was an absolutely crucial part of human evolution. We start to see specialized toolkits showing up in Africa 150,000 years ago. It occurs sporadically and it dies out again. There are no hunter-gatherer societies on the planet that we've contacted that don't immediately understand the value of exchange.
