Is the Merge a Success?

Last week we merged the uneventfulness of the upgrade exceeded all expectations. I was really under the impression that developers and the community would settle for something like an 80%, 70% network participation rate. The most surprising thing about the merge was that it had gone off without a hitch, there was no major bug or issue discovered with this transition. Now that Ethereum is a proof of stake blockchain just matters a ton more.
