Stephanie Tisdall says government has failed to live up to the objective tests of rationality. She believes there have been failures from public health authorities, politicians and scientists in partly because ofpoliticiation. Early on every single issue when it came to acove treatment as became a left wing versus a right wing issue. Justifying advice, respecting the intelligence of the population more would have been more effective at conveying best practices at every step.
