Why do we build dedicated buildings for parliaments rather than make do with meeting in a converted chapel? We know that this is how the mother of parliaments started, but since then they have become more complex and functional. And can we even talk with any authority if Westminster keeps being hit with reports that the Parliament is slowly sinking?
