Can You Express Yourself Better in Spanish?

When I was younger and I had a stronger accent from Belfast perhaps when I spoke to certain people they weren't quite used to that accent. They speak to me in perfectly good Spanish but the problem's not them it's me. For example, Lucrezia they might be from Argentina and I don't always understand the first time what an Argentinian saint is because of their accent. If your mother tongue Spanish you're always going to express yourself better in Spanish than any other language.
