I think it's something that every single person should attempt to learn. I can watch people who are good at guitar and appreciate how fucking awesome they are. If you don't have that perspective of trying like these fat middle-aged dudes who sucked at high school sports, why don't you throw the ball? That was the biggest thing I gained from taking those guitar lessons. "If I never picked up a guitar again it gave me a perspective to appreciate music in such a different way"
