The Mindset on the Spirit Brings Life

Paul affirms two things in this passage. The first is that this voice is real and this voice will be with you for the rest of your life until Jesus returns. But he also makes one other thing very clear: It is not an equal authority to the spirit. And so it's actually giving an expression to the holistic nature of who you are. What Paul's saying is the soul set on the spirit brings life. TheSoul set on the flesh brings death.
