The Impact of Overwintering Sites on Diseases
The OE protozoan disease that we spoke about, it's transmitted... It has to be eaten as a caterpillar. So it's not transmitted at the wintering site. There are two bird species and a couple of mice that certainly eat millions of monarchs at the overwintering sites. And they have a bunch of really interesting behaviors of cutting off wings and scooping out the guts from the inside.
