The Debt Ceiling Vote Is Important
Jonathan Gruber: Congress is facing interest costs that will exceed the annual expenditures on national defense in the coming year. He says it's disingenuous to say, we've got a debt problem, but at the same time we can't raise the debt limit because of spending already approved by Congress. Gruber: Joe Biden's a hypocrite on this issue, because he was the lead negotiator when he was Vice President on increasing the debt ceiling with budget reforms.
