Coal sees guild socialism as something that reduces the role of the state and focuses it on these really kind of local associational groups. What roll do you see for the state in creating a platform socialism? And do you think that we need to go so far as what coal is talking about, in moving to such a local level? This raises some really interesting question. So i'm not necessarily anti nationalization. I just think it makes sense to look at different platforms from a different perspective, depending on what they're doing.
Paris Marx is joined by James Muldoon to discuss his vision for platform socialism and the different ways we could reorganize platforms to serve the public good over corporate profit.
