The Chickasaws - What Happened to Them?

The chickasaw managed to avoid european contact for the next hundred years or so. That would end in the late seventeenth century, when english traders began work their way into the mississippi valley with their cotton cloth and other goods. The tribe widened its honting grounds to get more and more skins to trade back, resulting in a war with the chotaw over resources and other tribes. By the late eighteenth century, the chickasaw were caught then between the americans and the spanish.
