Achilles is killed by the father of Troy's king, Hector. The poem ends with Achilles returning to fight for his friend Patroclus. A psychotherapist called Jonathan Shea has written a book about how soldiers deal with their experiences after war. He says that real soldiers don't fight for an ideal party or country but are fighting for their brothers in arms.
