"I wouldn't be where I have a vice-voter journey had I not had my experiences as a Christian," she says. "So much new age spirituality is just like repackaged Christianity in a way, right? Same moralism or, you know, like even puritanical, misogynistic beliefs." She adds that it's an interesting kind of puzzle too of thinking back to where have I made meaning out of something that was lucky or unlucky that there was no meaning and that's part of the randomness of the universe.
Happy New Year and welcome back to the Twelfth House! This month we’re reflecting on what’s in our spiritual and squiggly brained SOS kits.
Throughout January we’ll be musing on how to soothe our psyches and our souls, when in spiritual crisis, and sharing what we turn towards when going through spiritual growth spurts. We’ll also be dissecting with the team and featured guests how to work with, instead of against, our neuro-divergent, squiggly brained ways of being.
On today’s episode, Michelle, Janelle, and Wallis join in discussion to share their most treasured resources and habits for dealing with dark nights of the soul of the past and what’s in their toolkits as of late.
We’re musing on big Q’s like…
- How do we know if we’re in a spiritual growth spurt?
- What were the integral resources which helped you get through your darkest night of the soul?
- What’s in our SOS toolkit now?
Check out our ShopMy page for the list of resources mentioned in the episode here.
