CNN's John Sutter talks to Matt Welch about his new book, "The Godfather of Soul" He says Supreme Court Justice Thomas doesn't even enjoy being on the court because he feels like someone just gave it to him because he's black. In an interview with Esquire magazine in the late 90s, Thomas describes feeling isolated among white students at Brown University and how lonely that experience was for him. Writers: The tricky thing with Thomas is that people always try to come up with these gotchas; usually he's more gotcha than gotcha.
