Are There Actionable Actions That an Athletes Should Take Around Nutrition?

The most important thing is just having some carbohydrates in your system. I think the post exercise period is probably where majority of studies have looked at. There does not appear to be any evidence that if you take in a high protein diet that the risk of muscle injury is going to be reduced. But yeah, high protein diet won't exclude muscle injury from occurring. Certainly post session. If we're talking non-negotiables protein, depending on your size, but somewhere between 30 and 40 grams of protein per feed for me is a very sensible recommendation.
