Selfish ambition is baptized oftentimes as a virtue for leadership. Yet it's the very thing that Jesus warns against. If you want to avoid being a deatrophies and you can't love to have preeminence, then you've got to mortify sin by the power of the spirit at that level. The Bible in God's common grace rejoices over and tells us to enjoy it.
