The Future of Fusion Research
Fusion research is a small number of very highly funded, very bureaucratically run projects. Technology for its own sake isn't act does not produce a standard of living,. It needs to be plugged into an entire economic engine that is actually a delivering value to abroad set of people. The motivation for going to the moon, and where all the funning came from, was, as part of the space races, essentially political grand standing.
