The Importance of Autonomy in Adulthood
In general how much advice should parents give their adult children who have moved back in for instance when you see your adult child doing something you think is a mistake. My advice to parents of adult children is unless you're asked for it keep your opinion to yourself except in those situations where you think that the consequences are going to be very very severe and irreversible. One of the themes in the book that I think will resonate with young adults who are listening to this podcast is that this is a period of time when autonomy is a very very important issue.
