The Importance of Ideas in Social Construction

Hacking: We have to acknowledge that ideas can have an impact on the Constitution or our constitutive of how we become who we are. But I would add one caveat, which is that we've accepted for the case of argument that could have been otherwise thing that hacking is on about. For the sake of argument, and probably it's not inevitable, probably there are many different ways to represent women and refugees. So that's the possibility that we always have to be open to.
