But if you had shipping, you would just outflank with Germans constantly in a series of amphibious operations around the lake. And then they'd have done it really quickly. I mean, this is the tragedy. The Americans digging in and going, we're not going to budge on this. Italy is great, but it cannot take priority over overlord.
