The Economic Crisis and the AKP
The last time we discussed Turkey on the podcast where we had a guest on to discuss Turkey was back in 2018 and then we heard from our guest about how the price of onions had shot up. I presume that situation has worsened so would you say that this election is in some way a test of how much especially the kind of the bottom half of the Turkish population which is I tended to vote more heavily for the AKP than for other parties? Whether the this economic situation particularly in terms of cost of living will kind of loosen the AKP's hold on the section of society or whether it's it's kind of more ideological appeals will still holding out.
