R.H. Genotyping for Pregnant Ladies

The first population we wanted to address with R.H. genotyping is those OB women who should get R.H negative blood and who shouldn't have excess immunoglobulin. And start to phase in the use of R.H.-genotyping by applying it to this very critical group of patients, the pregnant woman. We also want to avoid unnecessary R.H-positive red cells being transfused at a time when they could be used for other purposes.
