The author gives some statistics and background at the beginning so that I can comment also on what I think about these statistics. 95% of CEO surveyed in 2015 agreed that a candidate's ability to think critically is more important than his or her major meaning the subject they studied at university indeed.com reports that explicit calls for critical thinking in job listings doubled in just five years from 2009 to 2014. In 2018 high percentages of hiring managers and executives rated critical thinking slash analytical reasoning as very important as 84% and 78%.
