Is Data the New Oil or the New Water?

I think it reshapes a little bit not how customers will experience the world but who will win. It makes visibly harder for gigantic tech platforms from China or even the US to easily go into other markets. We are expecting a more fragmented outcome. The other part is data and privacy. That's a huge question. One of the biggest drivers of uncertainty is data the new oil or the new water. Is this some kind of proprietary unique asset in which case the winners in customer ownership are the biggest guys? I would say it's actually good for competition.
