The Culture Industry Is So Pervasive, and Its Effects Are Increasing
The culture industry is really so pervasive, even even at the time that he was writing this. The idea about suppressing or repressing anxieties and fears isn't quite as accessible to them. And we see this very much play out to day. There have been numerous studies done with black children in specially urban settings where they would ask black children to draw what a doctor looks like. They'll draw a white guy for being a doctor, or like what the president can look like.
