The importance of developing arobic capacity. Your your erobi capacity, is the foundation upon which all your other paces rest. When you make that stronger and faster, everything above that zone also gets stronger and faster. Tri athletes tend to spend an extraordinary amount of time in an ultra low intensity zone. For them, then, utilizing run, walk is going to be an extremely effective tool for maintaining that very low intensity over long on durations of training.
