The best thing that you can do from a natural point of view from a wildlife point of view is just leave them where they fall. A huge portion of the organic matter in our landfills is organic matter or is is leaves and they break down when they're buried in that landfill and produce methane which is a potent greenhouse gas. I beg everybody out there don't bag your leaves and send them try to keep them on your property as much as you canYeah it does feel insane perhaps there's a slice of history where that behavior will seem normalized I suppose we're in it right now but certainly in the past and probably in the long future will look at me like what was wrong with us
