Henry Hill is trying to sell the betting scheme to powerful mobster Jimmy Burke. They'll place a large number of small bets on Boston College's basketball team, and all those small wins will add up to serious money. But because the bets will be spread far and wide, they won't attract too much attention from other gamblers. If Burke likes what he hears, he'll bring with him a large national network of sports betting bookies.
