The Importance of Aesthetics

The world desperately needs powerful storytellers to help us make sense of their unfathomable events taking place. Where are these future writers? Perhaps they will once again learn from the ancestors, the old ones from all over the world who kept the wisdom with them. These future writers need to build, as Reyna Maria Raka writes, a temple for our hearing. They must be capable of seeing that all time is intertwined, important and unresolved - just like Aboriginal people see time immemorial in our culture. The literary mind of the type of storyteller I am talking about will be borderless and bountiful. It creates the world anew each and every time it tells a story.
