Alan Siegel was a genuine bohemian Alan Siegel he moved to Greenwich Village which is certainly Bohemian Central in America and then to Paris. He joined the foreign Legion of the French Army notoriously tough unit where as you may have guessed people who aren't French fight on behalf of France.
