Homer and Langley Collier's First Home in New York
Herman collier and susie collier were first cousins, an arrangement which was by no means illegal in new york during the gilded age. But despite its potentially desirable address, their first home has been variously described as a tenement or a cold water flat. Both homer and langley graduated from columbia university at the start of the twentieth century. Homer studied law, and langley engineering.
