The Son of Man

Jesus refers to himself under this title, Son of Man. This confuses a lot of people because they think, well, why is Jesus the second person of the Trinity? There's a reason why he refers to himself as Son of Man and it goes back to an ancient prophecy. And so the Son of Man is identified with the saints. So in Jesus' day, Messianic hopes were at a fever pitch. The time is fulfilled Jesus will say in the Gospels, what time? Prophetic timetable. Rome is at hand.
