The History of Port Sundance
Port sunlight was named after Lever brothers' best selling soap. The company imposed strict ethical rules on the residents, or sunlighters as they were called. Many of the nineteenth century buildings are designated historically significant. Still employs about 18 hundred people and still makes liquid soaps and detergents there.
