The Importance of Effective Communication in Incident Management

SRE is largely creative work because you're dealing with incidents that don't have auto remediation available. You still need humans to do a lot of the checking. And that in itself is a somewhat creative type of work, which requires communication and effective communication. It's not necessarily part of the standard curriculum.
