Up until basically the 18 sixties, i guess, which is when the casino at monte carlo opened the beach, and the seaside resort was a kind of regimented place. And then they opened the casino and these, you know, fabulous hotels at monteCarlo, and that did flip the switch. All of a sudden, the seaside was a place where you could go for decadence and indulgence and to leave all your cares behind. You know, the kind of what happens in monto stays in monta carl kind of ethos ya and in tat model very quickly spread all the way throughout europe and then over over to america as well.
