The Muse Will Visit You if You Don't Put in 10,000 Hours

I subscribe to the idea that you can't write anything unless the muse has visited you But I also don't think the muse will visit you if you don't put in your 10,000 hours Just build up your stamina and your learning and your understanding. That's always helpful for me to have a bit of time so that when we come in to work I have ideas of what we want to write about. If we learn anything from demos that didn't make it onto records It's that technically we can write a kind of paint by numbers, churches, song And lyrically that can be done, but those aren't the best ones.
