The Five Eyes of the British Empire
The fear of Russia and the need to carve it up is a British Imperial paranoia because they were concerned about this big powerful country just above their most valuable asset which was India. The 20th century security state is a story of the British Empire going through the various wars and then off-handing that method of Anglo-American management to their friends across the pond. It's an open British Empire it's called the Five Eyes. We're at the I don't want to say the terminal point but there's nowhere left to go there's you know we've run out of west.
